The city of Vogtsburg is the heart of the Kaiserstuhl and the biggest wine-growing community in Baden-Wurttemberg. Vogtsburg is a “Flächengemeinde” and is made up of seven, formerly autonomous wine-growing villages. These villages are Achkarren, Bickensohl, Bischoffingen, Burkheim, Oberbergen, Oberrotweil and Schelingen. Each of these places has its own character, its own culture and its own attractiveness.
